The Low Carb Universe AB (LCU) terms and conditions for events are set out in full below.
Booking and cancellations
Booking and queries
Rates are per person, or two people sharing a room, per whole event (7pm CET Wednesday, June 19th, 2019 to 12pm CET Sunday, June 23rd, 2019) including accommodation, lunches, dinners, workshops and lectures and all extra activities, unless clearly specified.
NOT included in the package price: flights, transfers to and from the hotel, breakfasts and beverages (other than water).
Prices are subject to change without prior notice.

Due to the desire to keep our Universe intimate, we are restricting this event to a limited number of attendees.
Tickets are ‘subject to availability’ and therefore we cannot guarantee you space at any of our events.
We only sell full event tickets, including food and accommodation.
The number of single rooms is very limited.
This conference is open to, and meant for, the public!
We have an age limit of 18 years of age.
Confirmation
A booking confirmation will be sent to you immediately for all online bookings. If you have not received an email confirmation within 24 hours of making the online booking, please contact us at info@thelowcarbuniverse.com
Payment terms and discounts
Payment follows via Credit card (via Stripe) or invoice (bank transfer, including a €55 admin fee) due one month (30 days) after booking.
You will receive a confirmation by email, save the booking code!
Discounts cannot be used in conjunction with other offers or discounted rates. At the point of booking the discount offered applies to the person attending the course. Substitutes are welcome however, if they are not entitled to the discount, the appropriate additional charge will be incurred.
Transfers
Transfers to and from the hotel are not included in the rate.
A guests place can be transferred to another guest, if the request to us is received more than 21 days before the event.
Cancellations
If LCU has to cancel the event, our liability in the event of cancellation is limited to a full refund of the event fee only. We will not refund the following;
- any travel or hotel costs associated with the cancellation of an event
- any other fees relating to travel, time spent in preparation for travel, or other bookings that may be in conjunction with The Low Carb Universe.
All cancellations must be made in writing and sent to info@thelowcarbuniverse.com
The charge for cancelling your booking is:
- 60 days prior to arrival: 50% of the entire stay incl a €50 admin fee
- 30 days prior to arrival: 100% of the entire stay minus a €50 admin fee
LCU accepts no liability if an event is cancelled or postponed for reasons beyond our reasonable control resulting from weather, governmental regulation, fire, war, terrorist activity or civil commotion.
Data protection
We will treat your personal information in accordance with data protection legislation. We will use your information for administration, communication and research. To do this we may share your information with our business partners. Names will not be published or distributed to third party places (e.g. Facebook).

Attending the event
Programme changes
It may be necessary for reasons beyond our control to change the content and timing of the programme, the speakers, the date or the venue at any time prior to the event date.
Event documentation
The schedule is published on LCU18’s website. Take a look at it every day to see any alterations. Event information is provided for the sole use of the guest and may not be reproduced whether in whole or part, shared or distributed by any method whatsoever without prior permission of the copyright owner.
External speakers alone are responsible for the content of their respective sessions. It is the policy of LCU to give the fullest freedom to contributors/speakers to express their opinions. The opinions expressed by the speakers do not necessarily represent the views of LCU.
LCU speakers will make every effort to ensure the validity and accuracy of the information they provide.
Travel
LCU accepts no liability if a guest or speaker is unable to attend an event due to adverse weather conditions or any travel disruption.
Guests and speakers are expected to handle their own travel arrangements, making sure they arrive to the venue on time.
Accommodation
In partnership with Happy Tammsvik, LCU is able to offer you an exclusive stay for a reasonable price. Please visit diabetes.thelowcarbuniverse.com/book to book your event ticket, which includes accommodation, lunch and dinner throughout the event.
Filming and sound recording
LCU reserves the right to film, record or photograph any of the speakers at the event for post event purposes. Guests are advised that this may result in incidental inclusion of guests within any recording or photographs, and may be used in any type of marketing for future events, on our webpage and/or social media.
After the event
Guest feedback
Following the event, guest should expect to receive an email asking them to complete a feedback form online. We would ask this is completed and returned to us within seven days to allow LCU to continue to improve and tailor future events more closely to your requirements.
